Toyota Glanza Gets An Important Safety Update

The automaker has also introduced a limited-run ‘Prestige Edition’, which is essentially an accessory package, but there’s a catch
In a bid to enhance safety, the Toyota Glanza now gets an important safety feature update. Toyota’s premium hatchback is now being offered with 6 airbags as standard across all variants. In addition to this update, Toyota has also introduced a limited-run ‘Prestige Edition’, which is simply an accessorised version of the hatchback.
More About Prestige Edition
The Prestige Edition package includes a set of accessories that enhance the overall aesthetics of the car. These include door visors, body side mouldings (with chrome and black accents), tail lamp garnish, ORVM and fender garnish, lower grille garnish, illuminated sill plates, and rear skid plates. Note that these accessories are offered as complimentary dealer fitments and are available only until the end of July.
No Other Changes

Apart from these updates, Toyota hasn’t altered the overall feature set of the car. It comes loaded with a 9-inch touchscreen, HUD (heads-up display), auto AC with rear vents, cruise control, and 6-speaker Arkamys-tuned sound system as before. Safety is taken care of by 6 airbags, a 360-degree camera, rear parking sensors, and tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS).
Powertrain Options

Toyota offers the Glanza with both naturally aspirated petrol and CNG powertrain options. The former makes 90 PS and 113 Nm (available with 5-speed MT or 5-speed AMT), while the latter has a reduced output of 77.5 PS and 98.5 Nm (only available with a 5-speed MT).
Price Range And Competition
The Toyota Glanza is priced between Rs Rs 6.90 lakh and Rs 10 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). It takes on the likes of the Tata Altroz, Hyundai i20, and its rebadged version, the Maruti Baleno.
