Hyundai Creta Tops The Charts As India’s Best-selling Car In June 2025

Out of the top 10 models, 6 are from Maruti alone, while two popular Tata SUVs also make it to the list

June 2025 saw the Hyundai Creta race ahead to claim the title of the country’s best-selling car, edging out strong contenders like the Maruti Dzire, Brezza, and Ertiga. In a field dominated by Maruti, the Scorpio N stood tall as Mahindra’s sole representative in the top 10. Here’s a breakdown of the model-wise sales figures:

Sales

• With over 15,700 units dispatched last month, the Hyundai Creta claimed the top spot as the country’s best-seller. This number also includes the EV variants of the Creta.
• After the Hyundai Creta, the Dzire was the only model in the list to cross the sales mark of 15,000 units in June 2025.
• With over 14,500 units dispatched, the Maruti Brezza outsold the Tata Nexon by more than 2,900 units. It ranks as the third best-selling car in the country and holds the title of the top-selling sub-4m SUV in India. It is important to note that Maruti only offers the Brezza in petrol and CNG versions.
• June 2025 was a strong month for Maruti, with the Ertiga cruising past 14,000 units, the Swift speeding past 13,000, and the Wagon R drawing in over 12,900 buyers.
• The Mahindra Scorpio is the seventh best-seller in the list and is the only Mahindra offering here, with over 12,700 units dispatched. Note that the sales figure includes both Scorpio N and Scorpio Classic SUVs.
• Tata’s best-selling model, the Nexon, recorded just over 11,600 units in June 2025, while the Punch followed closely with more than 10,400 units dispatched. The sales figures for both the Nexon and Punch include their ICE and EV variants.
• Maruti Fronx took the last spot in the sales table and fell short of just 200 units to cross the 10,000 sales barrier.
