BMW Pulls the Plug on G 310 GS and G 310 R

The two bikes, which had been on sale for seven years, have been discontinued, as all vehicles must meet the OBD-2B norms by April 1st, 2025.
The bikes were at the end of their product life cycle, and is a sensible choice for the manufacturer to discontinue such models. As competition grew, the 310 twins struggled to fly off the shelf.

The production of both these bikes was halted this January and were offered with heavy discounts ever since. The adventure bike is still listed on the website, whilst the naked offering has been removed.
The 300cc offerings from the German manufacturer were made in partnership with TVS, and although these bikes hadn't enjoyed the same success as TVS, it was still selling in pretty good numbers.

BMW will still be offering the G 310RR, which is based on the TVS Apache RR310. It will be powered by the same 312cc, liquid-cooled, single cylinder churning out 34hp and 27Nm.
Moving forward, BMW will most probably offer the upcoming F 450GS Enduro, which was showcased this January in the Bharat Mobility Expo.
