World's First Lamborghini EV Delayed to 2029!
Lamborghini already were one of the last manufacturers to enter the EV space as the previous timeline was 2028 but now its been delayed to 2029.
The Bull's arch rival Ferrari plans to unveil its first EV next year.
The Lamborghini Lanzador EV Concept last year and the production version will be based on it.
Even though the idea of Lamborghini launching an EV doesn't make the petrolheads happy but its going to be one-of-the most awaited launches .
Lamborghini is known for making one of the most powerful cars in the world since the 1960s. And when the Italian outfit launched its first SUV, it was a run-away success, helping the outfit make incredible profits.
The Urus and other Lambos are going hybrid- powered by a V8 and a pair of electric motors.
The Lamborghini Reveulto was again a fantastic car even though it didn't get Glorious V12.
The Lamborghini Lanzador showcased last year is a Grand Tourer with a 2+2 seating. It will feature an electric motor on each axle and will be all-wheel-drive.
The EV will have features such as Torque vectoring and will produce a Whopping 1340 BHP. It is also confirmed to feature Lamborghini Dinamica Veicolo Integrata ( LDVI ), which in simple words is driving dynamics control system. There will be sensors and actuators.
STATEMENT FROM LAMBORGHINI:-
According To Reuters, CEO Stephan Winkelmann said that the luxury sports car market lacks readiness for full electrification. “We do not think 2029 is late to have an electric car. We do not think that, in our segment, the market will be ready in 2025 or 2026."
Lamborghini's announcement came as European carmakers are facing lagging sales and difficulties with the transition to EVs as well as evolving regulatory frameworks.
Lamborghini's boss also stated that the company is waiting for a clearer outlook in ECU as the 2035 ICE ban is under review in 2026.
Another major change in the Automobile Industry is FLEX FUEL/ E-FUEL, which might bring back ICE back into play.
