The EX30 has received the highest safety rating according to Euro NCAP requirements, giving customers the best protection from risks in the driving environment.

"While we always design our cars to be safe in the real world and not only to excel in safety ratings, this result underscores the strong safety credentials of the EX30,” said Åsa Haglund, the head of the Safety Centre, VOLVO.

The EX30 received a five-star safety rating from Euro NCAP for new restraint systems and the high-strength body line. Volvo's internal safety standards are extremely crafted out of research and pragmatic driving conditions. Notably, the above-mentioned internal standards aim at going a notch higher than typical standardized tests, and ensure that potential risks are covered in settings not predictable in the test tube.

By exercising strict internal safety standards higher than these, Volvo's vehicles are not only to these regulatory requirements but also to the challenges and variability of the actual traffic environment thus maximizing the safety of all the car users and others on the road.

For the drivers, the car comes with the Intersection Auto Brake which is considered to be a good feature in the middle of urban society. This sophisticated aid’s purpose is to reduce or avoid cases of a crash, especially at junctions, a big worry among drivers.

In the event of a pedestrian or another car moving into the path of the EX30, the system’s autonomous braking lets the action follow a rapid deceleration by the vehicle.
