New Skoda Superb to Debut at Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025

The New Skoda Superb is to debut at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 in January! Meaning that the brand will most likely launch the sedan via the CBU route in India this year! It will be displayed alongside the Skoda Kodiaq and the Octavia RS245! This can mean good news that the Octavia might make a comeback!

The Superb has a new sharper design wrapping the car with the brand's Modern Solid Design Language with traditional Skoda Features like the classic Skoda grille. On the inside, it has Skoda's Smart Dials and a new interior concept featuring a free-standing 13-inch infotainment screen which can also be seen in the Kodiaq. Globally, it is sold with both Petrol and Diesel engines, we too can expect a 200 hp or a 245 hp powertrain with the possibility of a Diesel engine!

However, this will lead the Superb to be an expensive affair as the Superb’s production facility is shifted from Kvasiny, Czechia to the VW Group’s plant in Bratislava, Slovakia. The Bratislava plant does not have a facility to build CKD (completely knocked down) kits of the Superb and can only produce complete vehicles for local sale and exports, which leaves the Superb no choice but to be sold as a CBU.

Skoda also sells the Octavia Combi and the Superb Estate, which are some delicious offerings that unfortunately will never reach our shores. Would you like to see the Station Wagons make a comeback in India?
