Volkswagen Vadodara Accident! Student mows down 3

Vadodara, Gujarat: Late on Thursday, 13th March 2025. Tragically, a speeding Volkswagen Virtus 1.5 TSI DSG (GJ06RA6879) registered to DEON Technology PVT LTD struck multiple two-wheelers in Vadodara, Gujarat, killing a woman and injuring four others. When the accident occurred, a friend was seated next to the teenage driver, who was identified as Rakshit Chaurasiya.

Around 12:30 am on Friday, the accident happened close to the Muktanand crossroads in the Karelibaug district, striking other two-wheelers along the way. According to Deputy Commissioner of Police Panna Momaya, Chaurasiya was taken into custody shortly after the event.


According to the police, his friend Mit Chauhan, who was occupying the passenger seat at the time, owned the vehicle. Online footage showed Chauhan exiting the car and accusing Chaurasiya of causing the collision before he was able to escape. Hours after the event, Chauhan was taken into custody.
Chauhan abused Chaurasiya and left the scene of the collision, claiming, "I didn't do anything." "He was operating the vehicle," he said, gesturing to him.
After that, Chaurasiya got out of the car and began acting strangely, yelling, "Another round? Another round?" Additionally, he mentioned the name of a girl named Nikita before abruptly beginning to chant "Om Namah Shivaay." Before being turned over to the police, Chaurasiya was allegedly beaten by the people.
Police have mentioned that the driver of the car - Rakshit Chaurasia is an LLB Student in MSU College in Vadodara and resides in a Paying Guest accomodation nearby. Praanshu (who is said to be the owner of the car and the co-passenger) is currently absconding and the police is trying hard to get hold of him
