Deliveries For Mahindra BE 6 and XUV 9e Pack Two Variants Set To Begin Late July

Pack Two variants of both Mahindra EVs can now also be had with 79 kWh battery pack

Mahindra BE 6 and XUV 9e are the latest electric offerings in the Indian automaker's lineup, both launched earlier this year. Deliveries began in a phased manner starting March 2024, initially prioritizing the top-spec Pack Three variants. Now, the automaker has confirmed that it will start shipping the mid-spec Pack Two variants of the BE 6 and XEV 9e by the end of this month.

In addition, the automaker has now introduced the option of a larger 79 kWh battery pack for the mid-spec Pack Two variants of both SUVs. Before we dive into the details, let’s just have a look at the price distribution for Pack Two variants of the BE 6 and XEV 9e:

Mahindra BE 6

  • 59 kWh - Rs 21.90 lakh
  • 79 kWh - Rs 23.50 lakh

Mahindra XEV 9e

  • 59 kWh - Rs 24.90 lakh
  • 79 kWh - Rs 26.50 lakh

The 79 kWh variant of both SUVs comes at a price premium of Rs 1.6 lakh over their corresponding 59 kWh battery pack versions.

Looks, Features, And Safety

Though Mahindra has added the larger battery pack option to the mid-spec Pack Two variants of both SUVs, their feature sets remain unchanged. The BE 6 Pack Two comes equipped with C-shaped LED DRLs, LED taillights, 19-inch aerodynamically designed alloy wheels, and an illuminated logo. The XUV 9e additionally sports a connected LED light bar at both the front and rear.

Inside, the BE 6 Pack Two comes decked with amenities like dual 12.3-inch integrated screens, 16-speaker Harman Kardon audio system, a fixed panoramic glass roof, dual-zone AC and wireless phone charger. Its safety kit includes 6 airbags, all-wheel disc brakes, rear camera along with level 2 ADAS.

The XEV 9e on the other hand gets a triple screen setup (12.3-inch each) and additionally also gets a 6-way powered driver’s seat. The safety package on the XEV 9e remains the same as the BE 6.
