BMW Brings the Thrill of Drifting to India with the Launch of BMW M Drift Academy
April 2025, Mumbai – BMW Group India is set to rev up the motorsport scene with the debut of the BMW M Drift Academy, a first-of-its-kind performance training platform dedicated to the art of drifting. Scheduled to take place on 26th and 27th April 2025 at the Raymonds Compound, JK Gram, Thane West, the academy marks a significant moment for driving enthusiasts across the country.
A New Arena for Controlled Performance
The BMW M Drift Academy is designed to offer an engaging and safe space for car lovers to explore the excitement of drifting – far from the risks of public roads. The program aims to blend the thrill of motorsport with a message of responsibility, encouraging participants to embrace the mantra: #DriftResponsibly.

The two-day program combines classroom instruction with immersive on-track sessions, delivering a well-rounded introduction to the sport of drifting.
Under the guidance of BMW-certified instructors, attendees will learn:
- Drift initiation and control
- Throttle response and modulation
- Maintaining and exiting drifts with style
- Half-circle and full-circle drifting (in both directions)
- Transition drifting using a figure-eight formation
The goal is simple: to offer drivers a controlled, exhilarating experience while improving their technique and confidence behind the wheel.
